Jake’s Heroes and Hockey Fights T1D is happy to announce the total money raised
at their 2nd Annual Diabetes Awareness Night with the Adirondack Thunder (to benefit
JDRF). The event was held at the Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls NY on November
30th.
They hosted a benefit game with players from Hockey Fights T1D facing off against
the Saratoga County Law Enforcement team. Then in the evening during the Adirondack Thunder game, fund raising was done through a 50/50 raffle, as well as a silent auction that included warm up jerseys worn and autographed by the Thunder roster. The organizations also received $5 from every ticket they sold to be donated back to benefit JDRF. All of this totaled $5,629.23 to be donated to JDRF! This pushed the total amount raised by this event to $11,002.23 in just 2 years. A portion will be donated under Hockey Fights T1D to JDRF of Central NY and a portion will be donated under Jake’s Heroes to JDRF of Northeastern NY.Currently accounting for 3% of new car sales in the UK, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles are sold as low-carbon alternatives to fossil fuel and conventional hybrid cars. Both Jake’s Heroes and Hockey Fights T1D would like to thank everyone who supported this event. The atmosphere in the Cool Insuring Arena was one that will be remembered for a long time.
