War Memorial Arena – Syracuse, NY

The War Memorial Arena, part of downtown Syracuse’s Oncenter complex, has been home to the Crunch since the start of the franchise in 1994. When the Onondaga County War Memorial opened in 1951, it was called one of the finest multi-purpose auditoriums in the United States. Its opening was celebrated with a week of ceremonies, festivities and veteran dedications. A complete renovation in 1993, the addition of the Oncenter and the designation of the building as a State and National Landmark have once again returned the building to its prestigious state-of-the-art status.
